Pickens Historical Society
Pickens Historical Society, formerly known as The Marble Valley Historical Society, was formed by a group of citizens with a passion for preserving and sharing the history of Pickens County.
Sassafras Literary Exchange
The one goal of the Sassafras Literary Exchange is to empower and promote creative writing for the adults and youth of Pickens County. We also sponsor an annual Your Writing Contest - be sure to submit your pieces next year! Join us at our monthly meeting to chat about writing and to learn more.
The Tate House
The Tate House is listed as the Pink Palace in the National Register of Historic Places. It was originally built as a private estate home by Colonel Sam Tate, land baron, philanthropist and business tycoon in 1926. The beautiful pink marble mansion is one of the most photographed homes in Georgia and one of the most popular North Georgia Special Events Venues.
Tater Patch Players
The Tater Patch Players are an active community theater troupe that produces five main stage productions annually plus special productions, movies, and concerts added throughout the year. Come and Enjoy!
